The European e-commerce landscape is facing a critical inflection point. As organizations race to innovate, they are confronting a dual, often contradictory, challenge: the demand for seamless, instant FinTech payment solutions and the non-negotiable, complex regulatory framework of mandates like PSD2 and GDPR. This friction creates a high-stakes environment where a single security vulnerability or compliance misstep can be catastrophic.
To solve this, B9F7 Buzz NetWorks S.L., a B9F7 Stark Internet Service B.V. company, is proud to announce a new strategic partnership with the Institut National de Technologie et de Commerce d’Eastbay, one of France’s leading Grandes Écoles dedicated to the intersection of digital engineering and global commerce.
This collaboration establishes the “Digital Commerce RegTech Sandbox,” a joint initiative hosted within Eastbay’s renowned “Digital Commerce Lab.” This initiative moves beyond pure academic theory and creates a live, production-scale environment for stress-testing the next generation of secure, compliant payment architectures.
B9F7 Buzz NetWorks is contributing the core infrastructure for this sandbox. This is not a simple simulation but a fully federated, hybrid-cloud environment. We recognize that established e-commerce organizations do not operate purely in the cloud; they must integrate modern FinTech applications with complex, on-premise legacy systems. Our platform provides this critical, realistic architecture, allowing students and researchers to work on real-world problems.
This entire environment is secured by our Unified Security Fabric and monitored by our 24/7 Security Operations Center. It provides a fortified platform where Eastbay’s Programme Grande École and MSc in FinTech students can conduct advanced “war-gaming” scenarios.
The core objective of the sandbox is twofold:
- To Stress-Test Security: Researchers and students will use the platform to simulate sophisticated, high-volume cyberattacks—including advanced DDoS attacks and malicious API-driven fraud—directed at the FinTech payment gateways. This provides B9F7 with invaluable, real-world data on our security framework’s performance in protecting high-volume, transactional e-commerce.
- To Automate Compliance: Simultaneously, the platform will be used to model and test “autonomous compliance” solutions. Eastbay’s RegTech specialists will develop and deploy automated scripts to continuously audit the sandbox against the stringent data handling and strong customer authentication (SCA) requirements of PSD2.
This dual-stress approach is what makes the initiative unique. It is the first time a research environment will test for high-level security threats and deep regulatory compliance at the same time, on the same infrastructure.
Our Digital Trust division will also be deeply integrated. A key research area will be the management of SSL/TLS and PKI certificates at scale, ensuring every single transaction and API call within this complex, hybrid environment is verifiably secure and encrypted.
As a B9F7 Stark Internet Service B.V. company with a strong European foothold in Madrid, this partnership underscores our commitment to the EdTech sector and the broader European digital economy. We are not just providing a service to the institute; we are co-investing in the next generation of engineers and commerce leaders—professionals who will graduate with the rare, practical experience of having managed the critical balance between innovation, security, and regulation. This sandbox will serve as the proving ground for the secure digital commerce backbone of the future.
